Description:

Saxe to Ligonier: he has received Ligonier's letter of the previous day, which he believes reflects their conversation well, but Ligonier has forgotten Spain, on which Cumberland must get instructions. Saxe himself forgot to mention the re-establishment of the Genoese republic and of the duke of Modena. He believes that the two princes will settle more in an hour than their ministers would in a month. Ligonier should remain with Cumberland for the present. Dated at camp de la Commanderie. ff. 26, 27
