The Intensive Care National Audit & Research Centre (ICNARC) is an independent body that specialises in care for critical illness, including for people who are likely to become, currently are, or are recovering from critical illness. ICNARC is responsible for four national clinical audits covering different types of care and carries out research to improve critical care. The ICNARC also has a UK Clinical Research Collaboration (UKCRC) Registered Clinical Trials Unit.
