Administrative / biographical background: |
The Reserve Management and Sterling Area Division was created in 1972 and in January 1973 became one of the Divisions in the Overseas Finance Group. A large proportion of this Division's work was inherited from those duties of 2F(IM) division that had concentrated on sterling and sterling area countries. 2F(RMSA) was created to deal specifically with reserves and the management of sterling. The successor of this division in the reorganisation of 1975 was the Reserves Management Division (OFG2) which had the same remit as 2F(RMSA). |
