Date: 1960-
History: The National Army Museum was established by Royal Charter in 1960. In 1983 it achieved devolved status as a non-departmental public body in 1983 under terms of the National Heritage Act and received an annual Grant-in-Aid from the Ministry of Defence. The Museum collects and displays objects and records relating to the story of Britain's land forces from the 15th century.
